RESTORING THE HEART OF CZECH VILLAGE

In 1963, the Riverside Roundhouse opened in Cedar Rapids’ Czech Village. For over a half century, the Roundhouse was the heart of Czech Village: A place for farmers to gather and sell produce, a place for cultural events, a place for youth group gatherings and dances. A place to come together and make memories. Until 2007, the Roundhouse remained a hub for activity in Czech Village. The horrific flood of 2008 that caused $2.4 billion in damage throughout Cedar Rapids changed everything. The entire community has pulled together to restore and bring back what was taken by the flood. We have come so far. Rebuilding the historic Riverside Roundhouse is the final piece of the puzzle in restoring the heart of Czech Village. It is estimated to cost $2.5 million to restore and expand the Riverside Roundhouse into an all-season space for the community to enjoy. Will you help us Rebuild History?
